National Safety Month

June 1st marked the start of National Safety Month. At Breaux Petroleum, we are committed to promoting and maintaining a culture of safety for all employees. It is our goal to make sure everyone returns home just as they arrived each and every day.

Our skilled team of employees demonstrate safe work practices at our own facilities during day-to-day operations, and they strictly adhere to all safety policies and compliance regulations at every customer worksite we visit. The below initiatives are just a few of the ways we engrain safety in the culture of Breaux Petroleum:

  • State and federal compliance
  • Stop Work Authority program
  • Comprehensive training
  • Continuing education
  • Employee certifications
    • Transportation Worker Identification Credential® (TWIC)
    • HAZMAT & Tanker Endorsements
    • U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Mobile Marine Transfer
  • Quarterly safety audits conducted by third-party administrators
  • Random Department of Transportation (DOT) and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing

To support our mission of an incident and injury-free workplace, our employees take part in a comprehensive training program throughout the duration of their employment to ensure an ongoing commitment to safety.

This comprehensive program includes:

  • HAZWOPER trainings (8- and 24- hour)
  • Regular physicals
  • Up-to-date certifications compliant with U.S. DOT
  • USCG Mobile Marine Transfer Facility training and permits
  • Defensive Driving training
  • Continuing education programs
