Breaux Petroleum Hosts Family Day Event

Breaux Petroleum recently hosted a Family Day event at Vermilionville in Lafayette, La., on Saturday, March 23. The event welcomed more than 150 attendees with employees from the company’s offices across South Louisiana.

As employees and their families arrived, they were invited to tour Vermilionville, a 23-acre living history museum and folklife park located along the banks of Bayou Vermilion. The guided tours showed attendees what life for the Acadian, Creole and Native American cultures looked like from 1765-1890. Following the tours, families enjoyed lunch in Vermilionville’s Performance Center, which featured delicious Cajun and Creole cuisine, fitting for the event.

Employees who have reached decades-long milestones with the company were recognized during the event for their dedication of service. Those who received Service Awards at Family Day included Glenn Ledet (15 years) and Blake Breaux (10 years). The event concluded with a prize raffle for all attendees.

“Being a fifth-generation family owned and operated company, it’s no surprise that family has always been paramount to Breaux Petroleum,” said Blake Breaux, executive vice president. “Our success as a company over the last century would not have been possible without our employees, and we enjoy being able to bring them and their families together at events like this to celebrate their hard work and dedication.”
